A while ago I posted that the City/CFG blueprint was to expand worldwide by establishing clubs in all four corners of the globe. I likened it to them opening a network of supermarkets whilst trafford were content to continue with their single "corner shop in the north" mentality.

At the time, chatty, as is his wont, twisted this to suit his obsession and decided that I was proclaiming that Manchester City F.C. would dominate the world. If you can managed to step back far enough from the stench emanating from the cesspit to look at it through clear eyes it is common sense really
How do you go from the "Dog and Duck" to "MANCHESTER CITY, WORLD DOMINATION" in ten years coming from absolutely nowhere to overtaking sporting institutions like Real Madrid, Barcelona, Bayern Munich etc not to mention the two absolutely power houses of the English game who have all spent a lifetime building up their profile through a rich history in football without a wagon load of subterfuge and skullduggery
Reeling off a sack load of clubs that have been "invested in" shows that far from being some innovative free standing sports institution, City are merely just a cog in a conglomerate operation (sportswashing one) that is indeed meritless.
And paradoxically the more they "win" the more that shows itself to be the case.

Oooooh, the only stench I can smell is the rotting mephitis of bitterness.

As for how THE WORLD CHAMPIONS AND TREBLE WINNERS arrived at where they are today, it's called running a club as a business chatty, with an ultimate long term vision.

Our esteemed owners look at the long term viablilty and eventual return on investment with every highly successful business they establish and control.

When they took over, they specified a ten year plan, and a fifteen year plan. They have succeded in achieving their aims, but they are not done yet. They knew they would lose money in the short term (pre FFP), for the good of the long term goals (pun intended).

They appreciate that short term losses and investment will yield long term benefits in any well run business. Something your shopping mall boys won't have a clue about. As you know, they appear to have regarded trafford as a cash cow, they have relieved the business of capital in the form of dividends (to which they are fully entitled), not reinvested in infastructure to the required level, made some terrible footballing decisions to try to hang on to the coat-tails of City, (something Swales did in reverse which plunged us into the "dark" days, days of which you would have no comprehension), and that's why your ship is sinking.

They aren't in the same league as our owners, which is why ours are celebrating WORLD DOMINATION and the Glazers (bless them) are struggling with their corner shop (whilst flogging some of it off).

I am fully aware that City are a very important cog in a conglomerate wheel but I would much rather be that than one of the wheels that fell off the trafford bandwagon when the Glazers (bless them), jumped on it.
